What’s the Matter with Ghost Stories?

Abstract

In this short reflection I report on a pair of ghostly encounters. Such experiences are by no means rare, but geographers, like other social scientists, have been reluctant to treat ghosts as a serious object of study. Here I raise some questions that might guide future research.
