Abstract

This review will examine the relationship between vitamin A supplements for patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) and the presence or absence of vision and/or integumentary disorders. The reasoning for lack of vitamin A absorption and digestion in CF patients will be explored along with the consequences of the malabsorption and maldigestion. The specific focus will include the optimum amount of vitamin A supplements that should be provided to patients and how these supplements impact various disabilities and disorders in CF patients.
