Abstract
Two recently developed methods were designed for examining temporal change in the geographic structure of migration systems. These are used to examine how streams of migration flow among nine broad regions of the US responded during the first half of the 1980s to a recession that affected the oil-dependent economies of states in the West South Central portion of the nation. -from Authors
