Abstract
A nonlinear Schrodinger equation for a fermionic beam in a condensate was derived. It was shown that the condensate acts as an effective nonlinear medium for the fermions, leading to formation of a two-atom bound state closely analogous to the two-photon bound state in self-focusing media. Signatures of the bound state in a nonlinear atom optics experiment was also proposed.
