Abstract

A discussion is presented of work in developing a prototype of an intelligent software environment to support system design and simulation activities. Knowledge-based system design and multifaceted modeling are foundational bases for the development. The author presents the basic tenets of the underlying methodologies. He then describes the current state of the implementation.
