Abstract
A report is presented on the development of the Code of Ethics for Engineers. The codes are founded on the fundamental principle of upholding and advancing the integrity, honor, and dignity of the engineering profession by using their knowledge and skill for the enhancement of human welfare. It is reported that engineering is one of the most effective and powerful tools of development.
