Abstract
An 18-year-old woman who just recently received her driver's license is involved in a head-on collision. Upon arrival to the trauma bay, she is alert and complaining of chest pain. The patient is hemodynamically stable. Physical examination is unremarkable with the exception of precordial tenderness. Diagnostic workup confirms a traumatic aortic rupture.
