title = "The newly embedded librarian: Pharmacy information liaison service",
abstract = "Embedded librarianship has emerged as one approach to meeting the ever-evolving information needs of our clients. The University of Arizona Health Sciences Library has endeavored to become more proactive by embedding librarians within each of the four colleges it serves. Although the process of establishing visibility, recognition, and developing needed services has been a constant challenge, efforts have led to collaborations with faculty in both research and instruction. This article describes the successes and challenges of the library liaison in the College of Pharmacy, and how being embedded provided opportunities to build successful partnerships.",

note = "Funding Information: In my first year, I had the opportunity to be on a team of faculty that applied for a grant funded by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (AHSP) Foundation, {\textquoteleft}{\textquoteleft}Demonstrating Pharmacists{\textquoteright} Value: A Systematic Review Request for Proposals.{\textquoteright}{\textquoteright} This proposal requested that a systematic review of the literature identify evidence through a rigorous comprehensive analysis of the relevant scientific literature. This grant was nationally competitive and many proposals were submitted. Dr. Marie Chisholm-Burns was awarded the grant, and Sandra Kramer and I were recruited as part of the team to conduct the literature searches for the project. We developed search strategies for at least 12 databases based on the project description, and we conducted the search based on feedback from the team. The scope of the literature search was analyzed and the team helped modify the search terms for the first round of searches. We conducted periodic searches of the literature throughout the year. Several thousand abstracts and methods were reviewed from the database results. Our contributions included developing search methods in consultation with the team, reviewing all results, abstracts, and methods, and submitting a detailed report of methods to the team for future publication.",
