N2 - We measure the latent heat of the high-temperature deconfinement transition of pure gauge lattice QCD, using lattices with ten, twelve and fourteen links in the euclidean time direction. The latent heat Δε{lunate} in units of the lattice Λ parameter is found to be Δε{lunate}/Λ4 = (3.17±0.35±systematic)×107.
