The GRIS - The grating infrared spectrometer

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The GRIS is a prism cross-dispersed spectrometer utilizing a NICMOS 3 detector array for moderate and high dispersion spectroscopy in the near infrared spectral region. The spectrometer is cryogenically cooled with liquid nitrogen and operates on the 2.3 m Steward Observatory Telescope. Initial use proves it to be an excellent tool for near infrared astrophysics.
