Abstract
We present experimental data and theoretocal studies which support the hypothesis that bipolarons are the charge carriers responsible for the conductivity of polypyrrole. A consistent model emerges from consideration of earlier transport, ESR, photoelectron spectroscopy and optical absorption results.
