Terahertz signatures of plasmons in a two-dimensional electron gas

Abstract

A finite density-dependent plasmon pole is observed in the inverse dielectric response function of a two-dimensional electron gas by THz-spectroscopy. A microscopic many-body theory explains the experimental results.
