Abstract
The temperature dependence of whispering gallery mode microring lasers using the conjugated polymer BEH:PPV as a gain medium was studied. In this case the threshold for laser emission is controlled by the gain coefficient. Based on the four level system, lowering the temperature in the gain medium should increase the population inversion, increase the gain and decrease the laser emission threshold. The laser structure were obtained by etching optical fibers with hydrofluoric acid and dipping them in xylene solution.
