abstract = "An Ugi, ring expansion, pseudo-Dieckmann condensation and rearrangement cascade reaction was discovered for the synthesis of indoline-piperidinones in one pot. A series of targeted compounds was prepared by means of a mild reaction and a simple operation procedure, which could be applicable to a broad scope of Ugi starting materials. This cascade reaction generates opportunities for the tailored synthesis of a wide range of indoline-piperidinone scaffolds through tuneable Ugi inputs.",
