T1 - Supercomputations in QCD
AU - Toussaint, Doug
N1 - Funding Information:
The limited computing power of today’s machines is probably the greatest obstacle to this industry. I will therefore survey briefly the machines available to us today and the prospects for improvement. We can distinguish three major types of machines used in these simulations: supercomputer centers such as those funded by NSF and DOE, dedicated machines with varying degrees of specialization, and custom built machines.

N2 - I summarize results from large scale simulations of lattice QCD. I also discuss the types of computers used in these simulations, including various custom processors for lattice gauge theory.
