N2 - This article examines the benefits of student-led tours in university art museums. Through descriptions of three formats of student-led tours, I discuss how tours can be incorporated into museums through art museum education classes and student docent programs. I will reflect on my experiences in working with students on tours through a student docent program, class projects, and online virtual tours using VoiceThread. By activating university museums through students' own voices, the students can create tours that reflect their own interests and share these experiences with their peers, K-12 audiences, and the community.
