Structured LDPC Codes for High-Speed Long-Haul Optical Communications

Abstract

We present a class of structured LDPC codes based on mutually orthogonal Latin rectangles having high code rates, high girth and very low complexity encoder/decoder implementations suitable for high-speed long-haul optical communications.
