Abstract

The observations and thorough analysis of the rapidly pulsating sdB star PG 1219+534 were discussed. A standard Fourier analysis of our high signal-to-noise ratio Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) light curves revealed the presence of nine distinct harmonic oscillations with periods in the range 122-172 s. It was found that PG 1219+534 had a relatively simple pulsation spectrum characterized by well separated components easily recognizable as independent modes. The results show that the optimal model solution was able to produce simultaneously the 9 periods observed in pG 1219+534 with an average dispersion of only ∼0.6%.
