Abstract
A new class of two-dimensional (2-D) nonlinear discrete-time systems is formulated. This class of systems is more general than the well-known bilinear system and is therefore called the '2-D Generalized Bilinear System' (2DGBLS). State-space models of this new system are also formulated. The bounded input bounded output (BIBO) stability of the 2DGBLS is investigated. The difference equation and the state-space models are considered and sufficient conditions are established for stability. Some examples are presented to illustrate the results.
