Abstract
The nonlinear behavior of first-order multidimensional (MD) digital filters implemented with two’s complement truncation quantization is investigated. A sufficient condition is established for the stability of a two-dimensional (2-D) digital filter under two’s complement quantization. Two different classes of MD digital filters are also considered, and sufficient conditions are derived for their stability.
