N2 - Spontaneous rupture of the stomach is an uncommon and often lethal con‐ dition. Although it has never before been attributed to bulimia, a number of previously reported cases have occurred in women who have eaten heavily. A case is presented in which rupture of the stomach clearly followed bingeing in a bulimic patient. The mechanism by which this could occur and the ram‐ ifications for treatment are discussed.
