Abstract
With the widespread availability of magnetic resonance imaging, spinal cord cavernous malformations are diagnosed frequently, even in patients with mild symptoms. Increasing experience with the surgical resection of these lesions has also led to excellent outcomes in most patients. This article details the indications for surgery and the techniques used to resect spinal cord cavernous malformations. 2002, Elsevier Science (USA). All rights reserved.
