Spatio-temporal evolution of LIF in laser ablation plumes

Abstract

Spatio-temporal mapping of LIF in laser-induced plasmas is studied. A tunable continuous wave frequency doubled Ti:sapphire laser was used to probe specific Al transitions in the expanding plasma at a number of spatial positions.
