Solutions to realistic prisoners' dilemma games

Abstract

We report experiments performed with our new simulation tool for multi-agent Prisoners' Dilemma games. Investigations of realistic situations in which agents have various personalities (Pavlovian, greedy, or conformist) show interesting new results. For the case of Pavlovian agents the game has non-trivial but remarkably regular solutions. Our results may lead to a better understanding of large organizations and constitute a more viable model for the evolution of cooperation in living organisms than those offered in the literature.
