Abstract

To the Editor: I have just completed Case 19–1970 in the April 30 issue of the Journal and am compelled to write for clarification regarding the following comment by Dr. Stephen M. Krane: “First of all, the serum phosphorus level is high in patients with uremia in part because of the secondary hyperparathyroidism.”” I do believe this statement needs support.
