Self-similar and stretched-pulse operation of erbium-doped fiber lasers with carbon nanotubes saturable absorber

Abstract

We report self-similar and stretched -pulse operations in an all-fiber erbium-doped laser using carbon nanotube saturable absorber, for the first time. Pulses as short as 115fs are achieved in the stretched-pulse regime.
