Abstract
The results of an automated search for self-plagiarism in computer science are discussed. Self-plagiarism occurs when authors reuse portions of their previous writings in subsequent research papers. The self-plagiarism can give the idea to the public that, research dollars are spent on rehashing old results rather than an original research, and it can indicate to the colleagues that academic dishonesty is not a big problem. The steps considered to solve the self-plagiarism problem includes the tools such as moss or Glatt Plagiarism services used by the professors to detect plagiarism among students.
