Abstract

software-defined adaptive coding scheme is experimentally implemented and evaluated for 50 Gbps 4-PAM optical switching in wavelength-routing DCs. Up to 1 dB reduction in transmission power is achieved with switching latencies of hundreds of milliseconds.
