Abstract
This study was established to evaluate the water and nitrogen requirements of trickle irrigated cotton using buried tubing. Buried tubing is placed under each row and has several advantages. The tubing is less expensive, does not have to be installed and removed every year, provides water for each row of cotton and can be used on other crops. The tubing prevents typical field preparation but reduced tillage practices compatible with the buried tubing are being developed.
