Relevance of symmetry for the synchronization of chaotic optical systems and the related Lang-Kobayashi model limitations

Abstract

Synchronization of chaotic semiconductor lasers was discussed. Coupling methods which includes configurations where transmitter laser system is itself chaotic and drives a receiver system were used. Results showed the relevance of symmetry for the synchronization which was achieved between two identical lasers.
