Abstract

In recent years, considerable information on the plasma hormonal profiles during the reproductive cycle of a variety of species has been forthcoming. Concomitant with this descriptive data, physiological studies on the interactions of the various releasing, gonadotropic and sex steroid hormones with one another via ultrashort, short and long feedback circuits have been evaluated in several laboratories. This report presents an overview of some of the recent studies conducted in our laboratories. This report presents an overview of some of the recent studies conducted in our laboratories during the past 3 years on various feedback circuits which may regulate pituitary LH and FSH secretion in rats.
