abstract = "We present a numerical evaluation of two rateless error-correcting codes on experimentally recorded signal sequences from a wireless optical communication link. The codes can successfully adapt to the channel fading induced by atmospheric turbulence, only requiring a low-rate feedback channel. We demonstrate that a Raptor code is an efficient solution to improve the reliability of a wireless optical link even at conditions at which channel quality is very low.",
