Abstract
Probabilistic models are proposed to estimate pore pressure-induced settlement of both isotropically and anisotropically consolidated saturated sand deposits subjected to earthquake loadings. Field observations during earthquake loadings are used to develop the basic numerical model for isotropic soils, while experimental laboratory results are used for anisotropic soils. -Authors
