N2 - The following compounds were identified and separated from Maytenus trichotomus by means of paper, thin‐layer, and column chromatographic techniques: caffeine, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, ferulic acid, and benzoic acid. A leucoanthocyanin (leucocyanidin) was also isolated.
