Abstract
A turbo equalization scheme suitable for electronic polarization-mode dispersion compensation based on low-density parity-check coding and the Bahl-Cocke-Jelinek-Raviv (BCJR) equalizer is proposed. For reasonable BCJR equalizer complexity, the differential group delay of up to three bit-periods can be compensated.
