Photonic crystal fiber based dissipative soliton laser for multi-Watt femtosecond mode-locking

Abstract

We report on photonic crystal fiber based scaling of the mode-area of a dissipative soliton laser. The laser delivers 142 nJ chirped pulses with 12 W average power, dechirping to 105 fs after extra-cavity compression.
