Abstract
Some stable and metastable (autodetaching) excited states of the Si-4 anions are characterized with the use of the first-order correlation orbital method and the coupled-cluster method. There are three doublet states of the anion, X 2B2g, 2B1g and 2B1u, which lie below the electron ejection threshold. All other states have total energy higher than the energy of the neutral cluster.
