Abstract

The statistics of ghost pulses, generated by pseudo-random sequences of optical pulses in optical fiber links with strong dispersion map is analytically and numerically calculated. To reduce bit error due to ghost pulse generation, phase randomization of bit-pulses is proposed and simulated and analyzed.
