Abstract
We present a new experimental solution of optical joint transform correlation (JTC) for multiple objects with multiple grey levels. The power spectrum is recorded two times and followed by a subtraction of them. During the second recording, a phase plate is used to produce the halfwave delay of the reference image. The subtracted power spectrum is used for inverse Fourier transform, which results in enhanced correlation peaks and depressed correlations between the objects and between the noisy signals. This method is easy to implemented and is specially suitable to the recognition for multiple objects with multiple grey levels.
