title = "Peridynamic modeling of damage due to multiple sand particle impacts in the presence of contact and friction",
abstract = "This study concerns the PD modeling of impact event using a new particle-based contact algorithm. After verifying the proposed method for the contact parameters during the impact event, failure analysis is performed to simulate the motion of a rigid sand particle and predict the damage patterns along with subsequent material removal. This approach can be extended to the arbitrary shapes of sand particles impacting at multiple sites and with varying angles.",
