Abstract
Spinal and cortical evoked potentials were recorded in response to percutaneous stimulation of the first sacral root which was accessed via the dorsal sacral foramen. A very high amplitude spinal response is easily recordable using surface electrodes. Cortical responses were inconsistently elicited and had highly variable latencies, amplitudes and morphologies.
