Abstract

Paleohydrologic analyses were conducted in Katherine Gorge and upper Finke Gorge, Northern Territory, Australia. Maximum paleofloods were quantified and dated using carbon 14 methods. Further research on stacked flood slackwater depositional sequences is needed for the use of such data in flood frequency analysis.
