Overcoming the language barrier

Abstract

Extension faculty at the University of Arizona was organized recently. The faculty uses the traditional approach to present information at extension meetings to reach the irrigators. A grant from the Arizona Department of Water Resources allowed specialists and county agents to buy translating equipment to initiate bilingual workshops. It is necessary for people whose primary language is Spanish.
