Abstract
Otoacoustic emissions provide a useful measure of peripheral auditory processing. This report reviews emission findings for both normally hearing and hearing-impaired adults. Some additional information is presented about the effects of aging on emissions. Finally, a review of the test parameters that permit the optimal evaluation of emissions is presented.
