Abstract
Following up on earlier observations, OSSE scanned the galactic center region during cycle 7. These observations, combined with cycle 6 and 7 observations of the galactic plane, have led to improved the maps of the 511 keV emission. Two fundamentally different mapping techniques show similar features, and further the arguments for both the existence of a positive latitude enhancement and for intense bulge emission.
