Orthogonal Polynomials based Hybrid Coded-Modulation for Multi-Tb/s Optical Transport

Abstract

Orthogonal polynomials based single-carrier hybrid coded-modulation is proposed as multi-Tb/s enabling technology while employing the commercially available electronics. The proposed scheme can simultaneously solve the problems related to limited bandwidth and high energy consumption of information infrastructure.
