Abstract
A new correlation filter design method is introduced that uses multiple circular harmonic functions (CHFs) and allows us to optimally trade-off correlation plane while achieving desired correlation peak values in response to in-plane rotation of input images. We will refer to such filters as optimal trade-off circular harmonic function (OTCHF) filters. Underlying filter design steps and illustrative numerical results are presented.
