Optimal scheduling of advanced maintenance dredging

Abstract

This brief article discusses conventional and new procedures for nourishment of beaches taking advantage of recent years' development of more effective equipment of smaller capacities operating more frequently. An optimization procedure comparing old and new practices is described comparing it to similar procedures for maintenance dredging of navigation channels.
