Abstract

In an earlier article C. Syros presented a derivation of the time-dependent Green's function for monoenergetic neutron transport in plane geometry by applying the Laplace and Fourier transforms to multiple collision equations. It seems, however, that his solution does not correctly take into account the behavior of the transformed flux in the complex plane. The purpose of this communication is to present a corrected solution and to use this solution to derive a closed form for the total flux distribution.
