On the possibility of fitting a large set of rare earth nuclei with constant IBM-2 parameters

Abstract

A projection method from the IBM-2 on the IBM-1 space is used in order to carry out calculations for the rare-earth nuclei. The calculations make use of only five parameters which are constant for the whole range of nuclei considered. The agreement with the experimental data is satisfactory.
